Tungsten-copper alloy can withstand high temperature and high stress of nearly 2000 degrees, has the characteristics of high melting point, high hardness, anti-burning and good anti-adhesion. The electro-erosion products have high surface finish, high precision and low loss.
There are four main production processes for tungsten copper:
Mixed-press sintering method: a traditional powder metallurgy method. The tungsten powder and copper powder are mixed according to a certain proportion, then the lubricant is added for mixing, and the mixing is carried out for forming and sintering.
Infiltration method: The most commonly used method at present is to first prepare a porous tungsten framework with a certain density and strength, and then infiltrate copper with a relatively low melting point.
Activation sintering method: In the preparation process of W-CU material, adding trace activation elements to improve sintering activity. Compared with the high-temperature liquid phase sintering method, this process reduces the sintering temperature and sintering time, and improves the sintering density.
Nano/ultrafine mixed powder sintering method: It is a process developed with the development of nanotechnology, and the output material has high density, electrical and thermal conductivity.
The main use of tungsten copper alloy:
Tungsten copper alloy is widely used as the contact and protection ring of high-voltage and ultra-hydraulic switches and circuit breakers, thick anvil material of electric heating pier, automatic submerged arc welding contact tip, plasma cutting machine nozzle, and also used in electric welding machine and butt welding machine. Welding heads and seam welding wheels are also used to make gas-sealing electrodes and electric spark electrodes, spot welding, butt welding materials, etc.
1. Resistance welding electrode: Tungsten copper alloy combines the advantages of tungsten and copper, high temperature resistance, arc ablation resistance, high strength, high specificity, good electrical conductivity, good thermal conductivity, easy cutting and processing, and has the characteristics of sweating and cooling. Because tungsten copper alloy has the characteristics of high hardness, high melting point and anti-adhesion of tungsten, it is often used for projection welding and butt welding electrodes with certain wear resistance and high temperature resistance.
2. EDM electrode: When the mold made of tungsten steel and high temperature resistant super hard alloy needs electrolytic corrosion, the ordinary electrode wears large and the speed is slow. The characteristics of high electrical corrosion rate, low loss rate, precise electrode shape, and excellent processing performance of tungsten copper alloy greatly improve the accuracy of the workpiece.
3. High-voltage discharge tube electrode: When the high-voltage vacuum discharge tube is working, the temperature of the contact material will increase by several thousand degrees Celsius within a few tenths of a second. The high ablation resistance, high toughness, and good electrical and thermal conductivity of tungsten copper alloy provide the necessary conditions for the stable operation of the discharge tube.
4. Electronic packaging materials: Tungsten-copper alloy has both the low expansion characteristics of tungsten and the high thermal conductivity of copper. The thermal expansion coefficient and electrical and thermal conductivity of tungsten-copper alloy can be changed by adjusting the composition of the material, thereby providing for the use of materials It's convenient.
