Although some molybdenum concentrators stopped production during the Spring Festival in March, the spot supply of molybdenum concentrate market is still tight, and the direct reaction is still high in the transaction price.

Transaction data: More than 200 tons of molybdenum concentrate were traded in Jiangxi yesterday, some of which were cash transactions with a price of 1770 yuan/ton, and some were acceptance transactions with a price of 1780 yuan/ton.

Trading analysis: The supply of molybdenum concentrate is relatively stable. The downstream molybdenum roasting and smelting resumed more work in March, and the demand for raw materials increased. Although the consumption of ferromolybdenum in terminal steel plants has not improved significantly for the time being, the increase of the starting rate of intermediate molybdenum smelting capacity has stabilized the consumption of raw material molybdenum concentrate.

Although the performance of downstream molybdenum terminal consumption has not been effectively improved yet, the tight performance of raw molybdenum concentrate has strongly supported the price of molybdenum concentrate, bulk molybdenum iron price, ammonium molybdate and product price, which is the main reason for the recent sustained firm quotation of molybdenum enterprises and tentative increase.
